The Valsir philosophy: Quality for plumbing
We believe that it is necessary to maintain an extreme level of quality in order to compete in an increasing and demanding market. For this reason the keystone of Valsir corporate philosophy is a meticulous attention to quality demonstrated by the ISO 9001 certification.
In February 2001, Valsir was the first company in Italy and one of the first in Europe, in the plumbing and heating sector, to obtain the ISO 9001 certification.
Over 170 product approvals (last update 01/02/2015) attest the quality of the Valsir products. This is an additional guarantee of product reliability certified not only by the producer but also by authorized Institutes, according to international standards.
Being certified with more than 170 product approvals means that we are visited several times a year from each certification Institute, and that production is constantly monitored.
High Tech Laboratories
Few years ago Valsir built its own quality control laboratories in order to maintain high quality standards. The laboratories are constantly upgraded according to the latest technologies and are among the most advanced in the plumbing and heating industry.
Each single component is subjected to tests that go far beyond the requirements of the most severe standards. For example the flush cisterns pass these tests after 600,000 cycles despite the standard requires a test of “only” 200,000 cycles.
Furthermore, during the production process, samples are randomly selected from each department and are subjected to the most severe laboratory tests.
Continuous innovation for a competitive advantage
Innovation and the spirit of enterprise - the latter intended as the capacity to identify and seize new business opportunities - represent the key proficiencies for the future development of companies and for boosting entire economies.
Valsir believes in the strength of innovation and for this reason every year invests approximately 1.7% of its turnover in Research and Development. The result of its efforts in this field can be seen in the eleven different product lines with over six thousand articles and over twenty European patents, developed by a team of specialised engineers and technicians that avail of well-equipped laboratories for the preparation of prototypes and testing of new products that are subject to stress tests that go far beyond the requirements of the most severe international standards.
A technological development that also entails a deep knowledge of the production process and plants; from the capacity therefore to design them and often to construct them. In Valsir, plant parts and molds are designed and constructed thanks to the internal experience of staff that allow all the phases of the innovation process to tracked, also thanks to the extensive use of the most modern technologies available on the market. All this, however, is not enough for us. Because in Valsir you never finish learning.
